Discover the transformative advantages of cash-based physical therapy

Discover the transformative advantages of cash-based physical therapy, offering personalized one-on-one care, freedom from insurance restrictions, potential cost savings, and a commitment to you!

If you have ever been to physical therapy before and felt like you were just a number, you are not alone. In a typical traditional outpatient setting, you are often double-booked and sometimes triple-booked with other patients. Often times, your care can be provided by a myriad of different clinicians, making it difficult to maintain consistency or continuity of care. Moreover, your care may also be provided by technicians or aides, not the clinician that initially evaluated you.

And after spending over 9 years of working within a traditional physical therapy model, I too became frustrated with not having the opportunity of being able to treat my patients one-on-one and giving them my undivided attention and most specialized care. I always thought to myself, there has to be a BETTER way.

Fortunately, the realm of physical therapy continues to adapt to the needs and desires of clients and clinicians alike! Introducing, the cash-based physical therapy model.

Cash-based, meaning we do not accept insurance and work exclusively on a private pay basis, can improve access to physical therapy services by removing restrictions placed by third-party payers. On occasion, insurance companies may require authorization prior to a physical therapy evaluation or require authorization before services can be rendered, and restrict your care by providing a visit limit or a therapy cap.

With deductibles and premiums at an all-time high, cash-based physical therapy can actually save you money and eliminate the stress associated with the uncertainty of your cost per visit by providing one flat rate.

To summarize, here are the top perks of why cash-based physical therapy is superior to traditional physical therapy models:

  1. One-on-one time with your physical therapist. This means treatment plans are customized to treat your exact impairments and weaknesses.

  2. Improved autonomy and freedom to address multiple body parts, eliminating the risk of insurance companies denying your care.

  3. It may save you money in the long run. By providing a more tailored-treatment program, quality of care improves thus requiring a lower quantity of visits (only one time a week vs three times a week in a traditional PT setting) before you start to see improvements in your pain and function.

  4. You see ONE clinician and ONE clinician only throughout your care thus improving the consistency and continuity of care.

  5. Some insurance companies may actually reimburse you for out-of-network physical therapy care with proof of a superbill.

So, don’t let insurance companies control and manage your health. Your health will single-handedly be the most important investment you will ever make. And when it comes to choosing one of the best, we here at the Movement Doc of Texas have dedicated years of study and specialization to ensure we are providing you with the best. You are worth it!
